Rationale


The Research Project course enables students to independently develop and present a significant research project in Public Administration, typically in dissertation form, applying the correct research methodology and ethical considerations. Through this course, students deepen their understanding of various research paradigms and methodologies, while showcasing their problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills necessary for completing the dissertation process effectively.
This course aims to guide students in conducting independent research, honing their critical thinking and analytical skills, and fostering the ability to effectively communicate findings through written reports or presentations.


Learning Outcomes


At the end of the course students will be expected to:

(i)    Annotate and interpret contemporary literature within a specialized area of Public Administration. 
(ii)   Utilise both Quantitative and Qualitative research paradigms and methodologies effectively.
(iii)  Analyse critical issues pertinent to the chosen research topic.
(iv)  Independently conduct and finalise a pre-designed study, integrating personal insights and efforts as well as situate research findings within the broader context of the field and ensure academic integrity.
(v)   Apply advanced knowledge while adhering to ethical guidelines and professional frameworks, including guidance from advisors.
