Course Description:

Strategic planning is widely used by organizational leaders in order to overcome the challenges of a turbulent environment. In this context students will also be able to gain understanding and comprehend several concepts, tools and practices in strategic planning for organizations and their operations.

Conduct and present an analysis of the internal and external environment of an organization with which they are familiar.
Generate a strategic plan for an organization with which they are familiar.
Outline tools and strategies for making strategic planning more effective.
Plan for evaluation and review processes that need to be conducted in effective strategic planning processes.
Identify and explain the implications of the SWOT analysis for strategic planning.
Make an argument explicitly identifying the dimensions of the internal logic (robustness) of a Strategic Plan.
