Course Description:

There are many issues related to the introduction and use of technological applications in the Public Sector and students should be in position to identify these. The module will help them acquire knowledge in vital concepts of electronic governance and new methods and practices introduced with the technological applications in public administration, as well as examine the various types and models of electronic governance services. They then will be able to understand the legal framework in which electronic governance functions in and these will render them able of examining basic principles and applications related to data collection and analysis with the use of statistical techniques, which are dominating the public sector.

Students will be able to explain basic functions of electronic governance as it is applied in public administration.
Explain various technological applications of electronic governance.
Evaluate the functionality of networks as well as the safety and protection of data.
Be able to suggest new ways for improvement of web portals.
Conduct research based on questionnaires regarding electronic governance.
