Develop critical understanding of a range of research strategies and methods used for data collection, analysis, reporting and evaluating research, and/or the use of theoretical and philosophical understandingin theory-only research.
Develop students’ abilityto critiqueandevaluate published research.
Providetheskills neededto presentresearch effectivelyinboth writtenandoral form. Understand the ethical implications of undertaking any research.
Develop students’ project management skills in the context of applied research.

Understandtheessentialprinciplesofresearchdesignregardingaspecific projectaswellasan appreciation of alternative research strategies
Critically evaluate sources of information and/or argument in relation to research objectives
