Computers and digital technologies play a central role in modern healthcare environments, supporting communication, data management, and problem-solving across clinical and administrative settings. This course introduces students to fundamental concepts of computer systems, including hardware, software, and information systems, while developing practical skills in commonly used applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. Emphasis is placed on understanding how computer technologies support healthcare organisations and professional practice, alongside introductory problem-solving using a programming language.
The aim of this course is to equip students with foundational computer knowledge and practical digital skills required for effective participation in undergraduate health sciences programmes and healthcare-related professional environments.
