Rationale


The course is designed to develop a critical understanding of the role and functions of various human resource activities within healthcare organisations, providing students with a comprehensive review of key HRM concepts, techniques and issues. It helps students understand human resource management systems at various levels, both in general and within specific industries or organisations. As effective workforce planning and staff management are central to patient safety and service quality, this course is essential to the programme.

The aim of this course is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to effectively manage human resources within healthcare settings.
