Rationale
This course is a vital component of the curriculum, as it equips students with the leadership, management, and governance competencies essential for delivering high-quality, efficient, and accountable health care services. It is designed to enable students acquire an understanding of the management of clinical and community health nursing services, as well as responsibilities within nursing educational programmes, which contribute to the growth of the nursing profession. By exploring key areas such as policy development, management of information, budgeting and financing, students are prepared to take on strategic roles that support effective health care delivery.
The aim of this course is to equip students with knowledge, skills and attitudes in leadership, management and governance necessary for effectively managing health care systems.
