Course Description:

The main objectives of the module are to:

  • Give students a broad understanding of human rights issues from a domestic and international perspective.
  • To introduce students the history of human rights law.
  • To provide knowledge in respect to the constitutional provisions and other laws touching on human rights.
  • To familiarize to students the international instruments and convention as sources of human rights law.

  • State the foundations of human rights.
  • Critically relate the constitutional principles and human rights.
  • Articulate progressive human rights policies.
  • Defend human rights positions.
