Course Description:

Rationale 


The art of treating disease conditions is on which has to be learnt by theoretical lessons and practice. This understanding ensures that the medical doctor is able to administer the correct treatment in the correct dosage for the effective period in controlling disease conditions.
The course aims to provide an understanding of contemporary pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, and therapeutics.

 

Learning Outcomes 


At the end of the course students will be expected to:
(i)    Analyse the practical and professional issues relating to prescribing practice.
(ii)   Evaluate potential for practice development in their specialist area.
(iii)  Evaluate aspects of consultation, diagnostic reasoning, pharmacodynamics, and pharmacokinetics.
(iv)  Analyse how therapeutics impact patient care through the exploration of specific clinical condition(s) in their practice.
