Rationale


Strategy and Business Policy builds on previous business courses, making the students aware of the various business disciplines and enabling them apply their knowledge to the planning and managing of strategic business activities. 


Learning Outcomes


At the end of the course students will be expected to:

(i)    Interpret the external environment and its impact on the organisation.
(ii)   Assess the internal environment and strategic change issues facing an organisation.
(iii)  Analyse the business environment and strategic considerations it raises.
(iv)  Apply theory, models, frameworks and decision-making tools to identify key issues and make recommendations based on your findings.
(v)   Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of selecting and adopting various strategic options which characterize the competitive business environment.
(vi)  Interpret case studies on aspects of strategic management.
