Course Description:

This module aims to provide an understanding of the issues and techniques of ensuring that health policies apply in a health unit, as well as be able to identify and solve problems that may arise in the workplace regarding evaluation, common trends and implementation of assessment tools in health services.

Develop their knowledge of health policy in order to be able to evaluate specific choices from a broader political, economic and social environment.
Distinguish the main categories of health systems in the developed world.
Identify common trends and common problems that health systems developed countries face.
Analyse the social relations of power and authority and how impact in advancing reforms in the health system.
Understand the complexity and the key components of the health system.
Approach critically the key features of health systems, both from the perspective of the public and the free market.
Understand and analyse the importance of the evaluation of health services.
Describe the steps in the field of health and recognize national-international assessment tools.
Knowledge of the technical methodology to develop an effective evaluation model to health services.
Develop knowledge and skills in the design and implementation of specific assessment tools of health services.
