Course Description:
Rationale
The Organisational Behaviour course equips students with essential planning, analytical, and interpersonal skills necessary for addressing organisational issues. Students will learn to collect and analyse data to resolve behavioural challenges within organisations. By fostering intrapersonal and interpersonal skills, students develop sensitivity to others and gain confidence in interacting within diverse organisational settings.
This course aims to equip students with essential skills to understand and address behavioural dynamics in organisations as well as to navigate diverse organisational settings.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course students will be expected to:
(i) Evaluate individual behaviour, values, personality, perceptions, learning, emotions, attitudes, and motivation in organisations.
(ii) Analyse high-performance team development, exploring team dynamics, team contribution to the organisation, methods for team formation, stages of team development, and factors affecting team member selection.
(iii) Collaborate within teams and organisations, analysing the utilisation of power and its impacts.
(iv) Analyse the difference between equity and equality in coalition formation.
(v) Evaluate leadership in organisational settings.
(vi) Analyse organisational structure and design, by describing applied performance practices, stress management, organisational change dynamics, and major issues in organisational change.
