Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course students will be expected to:
(i) Analyse the operation and scope of the tax system.
(ii) Compute the tax liabilities of individuals, companies and groups of companies.
(iii) Apply the principles of corporate tax, tax planning, VAT and capital gains tax.
(iv) Compute the capital gains of individuals and companies.
(v) Analyse the effects of value added tax on incorporated and unincorporated businesses.
(vi) Distinguish between various types of taxation relating to the UK.
