Course Description:
Rationale
This course will enable students to acquire an overview of issues related to the nature of the function of global Oil and Gas companies and other organisations affected by financial, commercial and contractual activities in the Mediterranean Sea and global oil and gas industries as one of the largest, most complex and important global industries.
The course aims to familiarise the students with the oil and gas industry, its key components, oil and gas pricing and financial considerations as well as risks involved in that industry.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, students will be expected to:
(i) Outline the objectives and functions of companies and organisations in the challenging oil and gas supply chain.
(ii) Evaluate the relationships between the companies and various organisations in the challenging oil and gas supply chain.
(iii) Assess the importance of marketing and marketing issues to demanding oil and gas organisations.
(iv) Interpret the risks associated with this challenging oil and gas industry across the lifecycle of a development and/or lifecycle of a basin.
