Rationale


This course is essential to the programme as it Illustrates an overview of concepts in project management in an organisational context and examines the theoretical aspects of the most important project management knowledge concepts. It assists students in acquiring the competencies to address the growing demand for enhanced project management, particularly in the area of information technology projects, while also delving into the investigation of project management principles. 

The course aims to enhance students’ understanding of the significance of Project Life Cycles, teamwork and individual input while exploring the importance of appropriate project management and administration, as well as the vitality of documentation.

Learning Outcomes


At the end of the course, students will be expected to:
(i)    Create extensive project plans and schedules.
(ii)   Administer project resources. 
(iii)  Develop allocation/coordination resources, and interface with management. 
(iv)  Develop tools and techniques of project management software. 
(v)   Identify the human and organisational implications of change.
