Rationale


The Strategic Management course is essential for the programme as it offers crucial insights into the formulation and execution of organisational strategies, through the critical examination of rational frameworks used in strategic analysis and planning. This will enhance students’ ability to direct and manage the development of business and corporate strategy in the contexts of complexity and change. 

The aim of the course is to equip students with the critical understanding and practical skills necessary for effectively analysing, planning, and implementing strategic initiatives within organisations, particularly in the face of complexity and change enhancing in this way their ability to lead and manage the development of business and corporate strategies.

Learning Outcomes


At the end of the course students will be expected to:
(i)    Implement a range of strategic tools, frameworks and concepts in the strategic development of an organisation.
(ii)   Evaluate the contribution of strategic frameworks in contemporary strategic management.
(iii)  Analyse rational frameworks used in strategic analysis and planning.
(iv)  Develop business and corporate strategy within the contexts of complexity and change.
