Course Description:

Rationale


This course will enable students to apply the knowledge acquired, during the programme, to a specific topic, of their interest and related to Accounting and Finance, in a detailed and thorough way. This exposes students to the principles and process of academic enquiry and research relating to Accounting and Finance and enables them to demonstrate their ability to think conceptually, as well as develop and communicate structured and rational thinking.

The aim of this course is to guide students develop a critical understanding of a specific accounting and finance problem, making practical use of research principles, techniques and methodologies. 

 

Learning Outcomes


At the end of the course students will be expected to:

(i)    Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the chosen project topic in Accounting and Finance.
(ii)   Gain practical insights into applying research related to Accounting and Finance.
(iii)  Evaluate research methods and data analysis techniques for assessing specific outcomes.
(iv)  Communicate effectively and make practical conclusions/recommendations based on analysis.
(v)   Develop a project report.
